Grenada School District’s newest hands-on learning facility is a science-based, escape-room-style museum that simulates a hot-air balloon journey across various ecosystems. The six environments contain QR codes, videos, NFC, VR and AR technologies for solving puzzles in a unique learning adventure.
Our science quests take place in immersive environments that use a variety of technological tools to increase science understanding, reading comprehension, problem-solving capabilities, and technology literacy. The Balloon Quest is full of adventure — access lockboxes, escape a tornado, find a secret room, experience a virtual reality ride on the Colorado River, and create a tsunami. Participants have fun while learning science objectives, working as a team, experiencing ecosystems, and searching for clues!
Colorful environments are visually engaging and include a rope bridge over a canyon, animatronics, augmented reality alligator and tornado, and a fisherman’s cabin located in a swamp.
The Grenada School District is offering the opportunity to experience this interactive journey to Grenada students, other districts, and the public by reservation.
