Grand Opening of Balloon Quest
Visit the February 1 Grand Opening of Grenada School District’s Balloon Quest, a science-based escape room style museum that simulates a hot-air balloon journey across various ecosystems. The six experiences contain QR codes, NFC technology, videos, and VR/AR realities for solving puzzles in a unique learning adventure.
Our science quests take place in immersive environments and use a variety of technology tools to increase science skills, reading comprehension, problem-solving capabilities, and technology literacy. Access lockboxes, escape a tornado, find a secret room, experience a virtual reality ride on the Colorado River, and create a tsunami are several of the adventures to be found in Balloon Quest. Participants have fun while learning science objectives, working as a team, experiencing ecosystems, and searching for clues!
Colorful environments make visually impressive photos and include a rope bridge over a canyon, singing animated animals, augmented reality alligator and tornado, and a fisherman’s cabin located in a swamp.
The festivities will begin at 10:15 in front of the former National Guard Armory in Grenada, Mississippi, at 1755 Jackson Avenue. The creators, builders, and facilitators of the interactive museum will be recognized.
The Grenada School District is offering the opportunity to experience these virtual journeys to Grenada students, other districts, and the public by making reservations at:
